Music/score for my film

Music/score

🎶 Claire Du Lune, Debussy — most often seen in film and connotes various meanings, in the way it’s presented. Most famously seen in Ocean’s 11, at the very end of their heist, at the fountains and it connotes the idea of serenity with peace.

🎶 Chopin, Nocturne 2, op 9— notable. A relaxing track, which could be listened to when doing sewing.

‘Godzilla’ Trailer, Dougherty (2018)

The Godzilla trailer features Claire Du Lune as the background score, in order to firstly heighten the fear, and it plays very ominously as well, therefore creating a creepy atmosphere. However, towards the build-up of the track, it becomes more hopeful and angelic-like, and overall ethereal.

Dexter S2, Ep 7, features Chopin nocturne no. 2 op 9. - Dexter is a series based on a serial killer.

Score for Film

I intend on using classical music for my score, as classical music plays in sequence and flows altogether, just as my serial killer and his every-day work.

Spotify playlist features possible classical music I perhaps will include.

Another classical score I may use, is Swan Lake, Ballet Suite, Op. 20, as the music heightens towards the middle of the song, and swiftly changes its tune. This directly links to my film, as it’ll work with his every-day work, and the tune changes to show otherwise.

copyright free: Claire Du Lune

According to the copyrightuser.orgThe copyright duration of composed music is the same as for books, paintings and other literary and artistic works: the author’s lifetime + 70 years. Therefore, the musical compositions of old masters like Beethoven (1770 – 1827) or Mozart (1756 – 1791) are all in the public domain and you can freely use them. However, as mentioned above, you need to keep in mind that a musical composition and a sound recording are two different works: even if the former is in the public domain the latter may be still protected by copyright. So, if you want to create a video using one of Beethoven’s compositions you need to find a recording of that composition that is free to use.
