Possible locations — Tailor shops 


  • Maharaja’s Custom Tailors, Marina Square, Singapore.
  • Piccadilly Custom Tailors, Far East Plaza
  • CYC Made To Measure, Capitol Singapore 
  • Men’s Tradition Tailoring, Peninsula Centre (location is good, as it’s outside and has an abundance of space in the outside/roadside area)
UPDATED: Maharaja’s Custom Tailors, Marina Square will be where I film. 



Locations for death scenes — Outside a building

• Outside Vivocity’s main area, as it has lots of space and the camera would be placed near to the road side, therefore having the building lights in the back and the persons death in the front. Ideally, I would also have it in front of double doors or sliding doors (which would relate to the backdoor of the tailor shop)
• Outside my apartment, as the area has lots of entrances leading to doorways, and there's lots of available space in the area. 



















• Singapore heritage roads for flashback scenes, as it has long roads and is surrounding by many forests. The roads spans around an average 1000m in distance, therefore there’s lots of roads available. 




Home settings: 

Home location - My House 

• Inside a bedroom and the hallway will be filmed.

NOTE: No castings were needed, as my main and side character(s) both volunteered to be in my film.

Evaluation   1. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? Narrative  Narrative of my film : a killer hidden in plain sight, in the position of love/caring, i.e. someone who we trust. My narrative is essentially a  well-known tailor with an alter ego of a serial killer, who kills by night, and is a tailor by day.  Their motive is not fully known, it’s rather personal and a mystery for the audience to uncode and discover. Her motive is past trauma, and her killings are a testament to her emerging from her trauma and growing. As compared to traditional Thriller openings, my opening features a serial killer who kills with a sharp, deadly object — this is conventional of the thriller openings, as most main characters are either murderers, serial killers, spies, etc, They who kill.  However, my character doesn’t kill with traditional weapons, but rather a needle, something they’re very familiar with and uses everyday, therefore imp

Credit Structure   The Task we had to carry out was to analyse the opening credits to identify what type of credits you get in a typical Hollywood film and in what order they are shown in, and therefore what should be included in our own opening titles.  Time Stamps: 1. Production credits i.e. the studios  2. Lead actors/actresses  3. Movie title  4. Supporting actors/actresses  5. Pre-production credits  6. Post-production credits  7. Target Audience

  Target audience  The outfit  'The Outfit' is a movie based on a tailor who produces clothes for top end people, who also happen to be criminals of a large gang and in order to outsmart he needs to outsmart them. I chose to use this movie as my target audience research solely because it involves a tailor who makes custom clothes for the higher/upper classes, just as my own character does.  - Mostly males may watch this movie, as it has heavy gun artillery and lots of killings and blood. Equally, mainly men are the self-proclaimed, “antagonists”, and they carry guns and seems to try/do overpower the others.  - 25-34 year olds would watch this because they may go to the tailor  for custom-made clothing, rather than significantly older people.  -  The main lead is an old, male tailor, who makes suits and clothes accustomed to family gangs of crime.   - Mainly upper class persons account for 39% of the whole 68% of class, and are therefore more likely to watch the film as it has u
